DTLA Summer Adventure #2: Grand Performances

What I love about #myneighborhood is Grand Performances (Schedule), which is located at California Plaza and occurs Friday and Saturday night in the Summer 8-10pm. This free event showcases different genre of music from World Music, Salsa, Hip Hop to Bollywood. Get there early, it is first come, first serve and it starts filling up an early. You can park at the California Plaza garage $7.50, Cash Only. Public transportation is also avialble thru the Red and Purple Lines.

Forgot to pick up some snacks? Pick up a sandwich and fries at Blue Cow Kitchen at California Plaza. Or visit the other restaurants at the plaza like Panda Express and Johnnie's Pizza which are open late during the performance. Don't forget to bring a blanket and a comfy seat cushion, you want to be comfortable! Need a place to hang out afterwards head over to The Perch on about a block away (5th/ Olive) for a nightcap.
