South Bay Summer Adventure #1

This week’s post will feature the South Bay, the area I grew up in. This small community is filled with beautiful scenery and tasty eats. I discovered recently the craft beer scene in Torrance. I took the bf beef tasting for a special treat for helping me fix my house. So here is the game plan: Smog City, Monkish Brewery, and The Strand Brewery. Inside Tips: Most of these breweries are hidden in business parks so keep your eyes out. Bring water and snacks; you’ll need it, although many breweries do provide a few snacks to soak up the alcohol. Instead of getting your own flights share with a friend so you get too drunk.

Smog City: The beer list changes constantly, Favorites: Smog City O.E. (Little Hoppy), Nothing (Chocolate), & Groundwork Coffee Porter. Taster Price $2-3 for a 3-4oz. Dog & Kid Friendly!

Monkish Brewery: http://www.monkishbrewing.com Belgium Style Brewery, Favorites: Rosa’s Hips, Anomaly, and Shaolin Fist. 4 generous pour for $8. Dog Friendly Warehouse; Complimentary Peanuts & Pretzels; Food Truck Service

Strand Brewery: Specializes in Hoppy Beers, garage/homey feeling; Not really a tasting menu but ask if you can sample the beers, find your favorite and order a pint; Bring your own food; Favorite Beach House Amber Dog & Kid Friendly!
