South Bay Summer Adventure #4: Happy Hour Hopping Hermosa
The laid-beach beach vibe at Hermosa Beach is the perfect place to have a Happy Hour Adventure. Hermosa Beach is a part of three South Bay Cities. Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach is the perfect spot for people watching, drinking and eating. The pier is home to many happy hour spots all walking distance apart.
Here is the Game Plan…. 1)Hit up Baja Sharkeez for their beer specials (HH 3-7pm everyday), their mixed drinks and food can be questionable; 2) Mediterraneo Kitchen for their 2 for 1 Tapas and Beer/Wine specials (HH 5-7)... few favs: Roasted Red Pepper Feta Dip, Tortilla, Arancini; 3) Ocean Bar, which is a little off Pier Ave, for a drink and (HH 5-7:30) to take in the beautiful views from their rooftop patio. These are just suggestions, explore the pier since many of the restaurants offer happy hour specials Monday to Friday.
Tips: No more flat fees, Hermosa is metered parking so watch your meter. Be careful parking in the neighborhood, just like LA, there are many confusing signs. Ocean Bar does provide validation for its parking garage. Oh don’t drink and drive, Hermosa PD has no tolerances for “buzzed” drivers. Need to Sober up at Paisano with a slice of the Paisano Pizza.
