Hollywood Adventure #1: Act like a Tourist +Brunch

This week's post will focus on fun activities/adventure to do in one of the most touristy spots in the world-- Hollywood. For the boyfriend’s birthday I themed his birthday date as being a tourist in Hollywood. Originally the bf came from SF so I thought I would be fun day date. From DTLA, we took the Red Line to Hollywood to avoid traffic. The Metro is $1.50 each way and it will drop you off at the Hollywood and Highland complex. We took a cab to Saddle Ranch on Sunset (how much more touristy can you get?!) for some bottomless mimosas ($10USD) and some corned beef hash.

After brunch we headed to over to the dreaded Hollywood & Highland, luckily a little buzzed. I decided NOT to get tickets at advanced for the Star House Tour from because many are willing to bargain, especially if you are from LA. We got a package from Starline Tours that included a 2 hour Movie Stars’ Home Tour then the Hollywood Wax Museum for about $40 USD. The home tour highlights include the Sunset Strip, Hollywood Sign, Rodeo Drive, etc. Hopefully you get a good tour guide; our tour guide made it seems that all LA residents are rich and snobby… thanks for adding to the stereotype lol.

After the tour you might need to reload on the drinks, head over to the Cabo Wabo Cantina at Hollywood & Highland complex for HH! Then after you have a little buzz go to the Hollywood Wax Museum for a photo session with your favorite Wax Stars.

Tips: Bring Cash to tip your tour guide; Take the Red Line to the Hollywood & Highland Complex it’s so much easier; if you have to park, parking is about $2 for up to 2 hours with validation, daily max is $13.
