One of my favorite hikes in Los Angeles is to the Hollywood Sign. Nowadays you can’t really get to the front of the sign but this Hollywood Sign hike will allow you to hike to the back of the sign. Once you are at the top the view of LA is amazing, especially during a clear day.

The view of the back of the Hollywood Sign is cool too lol

Camp Hollywood is sub –park of the larger Griffith Park. Camp Hollywood is accessible with Canyon Drive (See Map Below) Tips: Try to get here early; parking is limited in Camp Hollywood. There are signs leading up the hiking trail which is about 3 miles one way, 6 miles round trip. The hike is for beginners, no steep incline, and can take 3-4 hours depending on your pace. This hike is Dog Friend or what I like to say “Simba Friendly.” Bring water, if you forget there is a Gelson’s Market on Franklin and Canyon. Attire workout clothes and shoes, no need for hiking attire.

After your hike, hit up Thai Patio in Thai Town for Lunch Specials, $4.99-$6.99 depending on the dish. Favorites: Stick to the Chicken or Seafood dishes, not the beef…Drunken Noodles with Chicken, Panang Curry, Pad Thai,Tom Ka Soup, Thai Tom Yum Noodle Soup, and Thai Patio BBQ Chicken.
