Hollywood Adventure #4: Hollywood Bowl + Picnic

My favorite summertime activity in Hollywood is attending a show at the Hollywood Bowl. The first date I took my bf on was to Reggae Fest at the Hollywood Bowl. What I love about this place is the environment and the people. The atmosphere is festive, inviting, and enthusiastic and the people are friendly sharing food and drink with the person sitting next to them. The Hollywood Bowl allows outside Food and Alcohol so cook up your favorite picnic dishes or grab take out from your favorite restaurant. If you run out of food or alcohol, food and beverage purchases are available at the Bowl. What else to bring to the bowl? Jackets, Blanket, Seat Cushion, or Binoculars if are sitting far.
Tickets and Seating: Where to sit? We usually sit middle back section, because of price point. See Picture Below. You can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster, the Hollywood Bowl Page, or at the Box Office (Open 12pm to 6pm, Closed Monday). Tickets are also available on Goldstar for up to 50% of the ticket price; however you won’t know where you are sitting until you arrive at the Bowl.
The Hollywood Bowl can be difficult to access with parking and traffic but there are plenty of ways to get around this problem. I would not advise you to park at the Hollywood Bowl, its stacked parking so no leaving early. 1) Take the Metro to Hollywood & Highland then take the Bowl Shuttle Price $5/ person round trip. 2) Park and Ride from a number of locations in LA County. Tickets are $6/person when pre purchased or $10/person purchased at the lot.
