Island Adventure #1: Mini Coupe Around the Island
The best way of seeing the Island coastline is through motorcycle but the bf didn’t have a motorcycle license so we got the next best (and supposedly safer) thing is mini coupe. Warning this isn't for the faint of heart. You are on the same road as larger cars. But it was so much fun! They charged $75 for 5 or 6 hours, remember to bargain! They’ll probably give you an extra hour or so. Mini Coupe Hawaii offered free hotel shuttle to its office at the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel, which is only a couple of blocks away. Here is the game plan… if its early enough grab some coffee and Malasadas (Portuguese Fried Donuts) at Leonarnd' s best on the Island.
You can get them plain or creme filled. Then follow the coastline to the following lookout spots…
The Light House
This lookout is right after Hanauma Bay Nature Park stop here for some beautiful pictures
Then Blowhole
After all that driving head back toward Waikiki but not before stopping at the Local Foodland for the cheapest Poke on the Island ($7.99-$9.99) and some Kona Beer at the Brewery Next Door.
