Special Occasion Restaurant #4: Hatfield

What’s more romantic than watching a Husband and Wife cook side by side? Karen Hatfield and Quinn Hatfield's opened Hatfield’s on Melrose Ave in 2010. Since then they have earned accolades such as Best New Restaurant from Bon Appetite and awarded one Michelin Star. There menu is their version of modern stylish French, American cuisine. Price $$$-$$$$. The ambience is just as stylish as their food presentations. Hatfield’s offers 2 tasting menu the Chef’s Tasting Menu of $98 and the Seasonal Prix Fixed Menu $72 (3 savory dish + dessert), they also offer Al Carte menu options. But for your first time there order one of the tasting menus. We choose the Seasonal Prix Fixe menu which gives you two options per course. I suggest ordering different dishes to try it all. Each meal comes with a amuse bouche and their house bread— If I were you I would ask for more bread…. I would let you know what dishes were my favorite but I enjoyed everything from their tasting menu!

Tips: Corkage Fee is $30; Make reservations a couple of weeks in advanced; Ask for a table near the kitchen to see all the action; Valet is $7 there is also metered street parking; Dressy Casual; get there a little early to hang out by the bar, their drinks are also amazing.
