Scary Fall Adventures #3: Oktoberfest

This isn’t a scary adventure, unless watching thousands of people doing the chicken dance freaks you out. Or seeing grown men in a tight Lederhosen. Alpine Village is home to the oldest and largest Oktoberfest in Southern California. Oktoberfest is when thousands of people from the all parts of LA decent to the South Bay and drink gallons of beer in a giant shaped boot. Oktoberfest beginning September 12 and ends October 26. Hours are Friday 6pm to Midnight and Saturday 5pm to Midnight these days are 21+ crowd only ticket price is $20 for General Admission. Sunday is 1pm to 6pm is considered “Family Day” so all are welcome; ticket prices are lower at $10/person.

Here is the Game Plan: Buy Ticket for Friday/Saturday in Advance, you might be turned away; get there early to snag free parking in the lot; bring lots of cash, especially if you plan to drink and eat; ATM's are available but who wants to use those; Bathroom Situation Porter Potties; food is also available Potatoes covered in Cheese is always a must( food is sort of overpriced tho); bring your own Stein if you have one, as long as it’s not glass; No ins and outs; bring a jacket it gets cold in the south bay; wear closed toe shoes lots of drunkenness going on; Friday/Saturday Beer Lines are long be patient
