Chi Town Adventures: Chicago Overview

For our 30th Birthday my friends and I decided to take a trip somewhere all of us have never been before. The Windy City came up as one of our first choices. The perfect time to go is during the spring, summer, or fall. Chicago winters can be brutal. The 3rd largest city is home to delicious restaurants, hot nightlife, beautiful architecture, and plenty of culture. My girlfriends and I spent labor day weekend in this beautiful town and felt like it still wasn’t enough time to see everything… definitely we’ll be back!

Logistics: There are two airports the O’Hare International Airport and the Midway Airport. There are plenty of taxis at the airport when you get there a trip to the city can cost you around $30-40 depending on the time of day. Or you can take public transportation into the city. How to Getting around? Public Transportation is the best way to see Chicago. However, if public transportation isn’t your cup of tea taxis are plentiful in the windy city. Or rent a bike Divvy Bikes a public bike sharing program in Chicago.

Where to Stay? We stayed that the Fairmount Hotel in Millennium Park since it was walking distance to most of the tourist attractions we wanted to see such as The Bean, Chicago Art Institute, and Magnificent Mile. Rooms are a little outdated but the friendly front desk. When booking ask for a AAA Discount or if your employer has special rates with the hotel! Stay tune for some girl friend adventures….
