Chi Town Adventure #1: Easy as Riding a Bike

I haven’t been on a bike since high school but one of my girlfriends said that a bike tour is the way to go in Chicago so although I was a little iffy about riding a bike I said let’s do it! We chose Bobby’s Bike Hike Tour of the Lakefront Neighborhoods. This tour takes you of the tourist path and onto the quiet neighborhoods such as the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Old Town Historic District and lastly the beautiful lake front bike ride. The tour last for about three hours and is $37.50 for Adults and $32.50 for Kids. Don’t worry if you aren’t a pro in bike riding the ride is very easy. I would recommend this be the first thing you do in Chicago, since it gives you an overview of the neighborhoods in Chicago and then you can go back to anyone you would like to explore even more.

Tips: If you are in Chicago Summer/Spring Months wear sunscreen the sun can be a little intense; wear tennis shows and loose fitting clothing; bring a jacket just in case it gets cold; bring a bottle of water and small snacks; have fun and be careful you are riding on the streets of Chicago.

After your three hour bike ride you deserve a treat, head over to get a Deep Dish Pizza and a Beer at Chicago landmarks Giordano’s for the Special or Lou Malnati’s for the “Lou.” These please are made to order so don't expect a pizza to be out after 15 minutues. These pizza take at least 40-45 to bake. So grab a beer and a salad to hold you over before this yummy pizza arrives! Best Pizza ever? These Chicago landmark ship anywhere in the United States so don’t forget to ship a pizza to your doorstep.
